Nearly 30 years ago, my mother died of breast cancer. In her memory, and in honor of the many women in my life who are fighting this disease, I am participating in the Avon Breast Cancer 3-Day walk in San Diego in April 2002. My personal goal is to eliminate the threat of breast cancer in my lifetime. This fundraising effort will help make that goal a reality.
